D-Day

Today is D-Day, the day the course of WWII changed. 59 years ago Canadian, British, and yankey forces stormed northern beaches of Normandy. Although I think it is rediculous that humans, with all the power provided by our immense brains, need to use none of it to battle like animals in war, this war, the last JUSTIFIABLE war had a cause. I think that if we could have had the “embedded reporters” (of the BBC and Arabs, since USA TV showed NONE of the consequences of war) like we did in operation Iraqi Invasion/Occupation, we might have seen less of this mindless activity in the past 59 years.
Enough politics for today;
I would like to say thank you those who never left those beaches that day, and to those that made it through and defeated the opressive forces. Those brave men and women (yet most were still boys and girls, barely 20) fought for freedom, so it would not have to be fought for again. I just hope that their children and those who were too young to shipout don’t srcew it up (any more than they have already, W) for the rest of us.
