Happy 136th Canada.
To mark the occasion Lena and I spent the day on the Niagara Peninsula.
Read on for details.
And/or see the pictures.

We did breakfast at Denny’s at the Falls, since Len had never been. Then we walked down Clifton Hill, then to the Falls. We spent a while under a tree, with the mist from the Falls to keep us cool. After some time of people watching we went back Clifton for some ice cream and to go on the Ripley’s 4D Action Ride. The ride was so not worth it. $12.50/person for 15 minutes of bad 3D (it hurt my eyes, I think the cameras were out of sync) and gave me a whiplash.
The rest of the day was spent going up and down the Niagara River. We took the sceanic Niagara Parkway along the river from Niagara Falls to Fort Erie, and continued along the coast of Lake Erie to Crystal Beach. On the way back we took the tourist route arount the Falls by accident. On the way to Niagara-on-the-Lake we stopped several times for a few pictures and to look around at the nice views and homes. Since we were both beat from the long day in the sun, we called it a night early and missed the symphony and fireworks at night at the Falls. But as a whole, a very enjoyable day.
