Special Weapons and Tactics. S.W.A.T was full of them. Starring Samuel L. Jackson, Colin Farrell, and James Todd Smith.
Jim Street (Farrell) gets booted from S.W.A.T because of his partner’s cowboy actions after shooting a hostage. He works hard in “The Cage” and gets noticed by Hondo (Jackson) who was brought back to S.W.A.T to help improve its image. Hondo’s first task is to choose his unit, which includes LL, Michelle Rodriguez, and couple other stiffs.
The main story line of the movie was good, but there were some secondary ones that went nowhere. Can somebody tell me why the girlfriend was there for all of 3 seconds, and why she was the brother of one of the other guys on Hondo’s unit?
The action sceens were not overly Hollywoodised, except for the plane landing!?, and there was just enough action to keep you hooked while leaving time to develop a storyline.
