Happy Lunar New Year to all that celebrate the new year today. I saw a piece about the true multiculturalism of Canada, the mix of Chinese and Scottish culture in BC. Learn more about the Chinese New Year, and Gung Haggis Fat Choi (that’s right haggis) here.

Gung Haggis Fat Choy (TM) originated in BC in 1993, when I first wore a kilt, and carried a Scottish claymore for the Simon Fraser University Robbie Burns Day ceremonies. In 1997, I created the first Gung Haggis Fat Choy (TM) dinner, which has now grown to an annual extraganza in Vancouver’s Chinatown serving an average of 500 people.
Gung Haggis Fat Choy (TM) has spun off a CBC television performance special in 2004, which was rebroadcast and updated for 2005. Simon Fraser University created in 2005, the first Gung Haggis Fat Choy (TM) Canadian games with my consultations… and we even have the Gung Haggis Fat Choy (TM) dragon boat team - racing in BC, Washington and Oregon since 2002.
