Go Leafs Go!

The Toronto-Ottawa playoff series has been a rough affair with some ugly faces the result on both sides (Tucker, White). Ottawa has dominated the play all of the games, but Eddie Belfour has played great and provided the Leafs with 3 shutouts to take 3-2 lead in the series. Although tonight’s game he did not have to do much.

It looks like the Leafs took a lot out of the Sens with all the physical play in the first 4 games, because the Sens looked very slow and handled the puck almost as bad as the Leafs. The geriatric Leafs, lacking Sundin, and Nieuwendyk playing hurt, stumbled their way to a 2-0 win. Domi was the Leafs’ top player in this game, and was credited with the game winning goal after the rebound from his shot was redirected in to the net by Smolinsky. Leafs had better win the next game so they can rest, otherwise either team will not have enough in the tank to play the next round.
