Don’t vote in spite

Judging by the recent polling results, it appears as though many centrist and left-centrist voters are going to vote Conservative because they are tired with the waste and rhetoric from the PM and his party. Before taking such a huge step to the right consider the alternatives based on your personal values and beliefs.
If you would like to see women again in dark allies with hangers (see Women’s Rights), if you do not think gays and lesbians are people too (see Hate Law repeal, and here is a picture of what Conservatives do to those seeking equal marriage rights). Now we Canadians comlpain about being over taxed, especially in comparison to the republic of states to the south. But, they don’t have 1/10th of the social programs we do, they pay for health care, schools in all but rich niches are in ruin. So do we need a tax cut that will bring this upon Canadians? That is yours to answer. But just take a look at what 9 years of tax cuts did to Ontario schools, and hopitals. All major parties have supported the Kyoto Protocol, except for Steven Harper, calling Kyoto “irrelevant”.
So, if you do not share these values think twice about who you are going to vote for if it is just in spite towards the governing Liberals. Take some time and investigate the parties, and their platforms. Many people say what difference does it make? You’d be suprised at how government policies affect you daily, and shape your future.
