The Cinderella team is the last to leave the European Cup 2004 Ball, with the cup and the pride of its nation in hand. Most are still in disbelief, that a team who’s fans only wanted them to score a goal in international tournament play (something they failed to do in a few appearences over the past 20 years), not only scored a goal, but scored upset wins over much heavily favoured France, Czech Republic, and twice to Portugal and its home crowd. Read more about the match here, here, here, and about local reactions here.
I caught the local reaction of the game at Flavour Dessert Cafe (Kennedy Rd., North of Ellesmere)[I better get free coffee for the plug Spiro :] Then off to the Danforth for post game reaction. We walked Danforth, from Pape to Broadview countless times taking in the excitement and the party. See the pictures, and video (sorry the video is very low resolution, it was the first time I took video with my camera, I’ll know how to set it up better next time :)
Did anyone see me and Rocky on CityTV at 11pm, or CFTO News at 11:30?!?

You have some great pictures and footage my friend. I was so upset at myself for not bringing my camera with me to Park-X after the game. I am so jealous. You guys looked like you had a blast!
Now I am stuck at work :-(
Man what a party, 50,000 Greeks (or Greek for the day) walking, dancing, and just having a good time. It was something this city hasn’t seen in a long time. I just wish I had higher res video.
The best image I remember from yesterday was a beautiful asian girl with a t-shirt with a greek flag on it waving a humougous flag on the Corner of Park and St. Viateur… the heart of the party. I loved it.
