Finally purchased a car

Many of you know that we’ve been in the market for a VW Jetta TDI for some time know. I even made a deal for a 2004 model that fell through due to availability. So today (well yesterday technically), we signed an offer for a 2005 model with all the bells and wistles (read: safety and comfort options). I will post a detailed account of the car and of the salesman/dealership after we pick it up.
I just spent an hour playing with a spreadsheet so I can track the fuel consumption and related costs, and savings over gasoline. I’ll post a snapshot after a few fillups. Email me if you want it.
