Jetta TDI fuel consumption

After 4566km the Jetta has almost reached the end of its “break-in” and I will see the fuel consumption drop (so I’m told). So what better time to post the first round of numbers.
Up to today:
Total KM: 4566.5
Total Liters of diesel: 321.901
Consumption:
14.2 KM/L
7.0 L/100KM
33.4 MPG (US gallon)
This results in an approximate fuel cost savings of $81 over gasoline. Go Diesel!
See the spreadsheet.
This is the upper bound for city driving as rated by The Office of Energy Efficency, Natural Resources Canada.
I will also exceed my contribution to the One-Tonne Challenge because the TDI produces an average of 3299kg of CO_2 per year, versus 4450kg from the gasoline engine.

A trip from Toronto and Ottawa and back resulted in a conumption of 21.1km/L, 4.7L/100km, 49.6mpg!
Conservative driving helped, I rarely went over 120km/h, usually somewhere in the range of 100-110km/h. I slowed down going up hills, and never really floored it except to pass big trucks.
