Zed is showing Toronto vs. Vancouver right now! The Leafs and Canucks are tied 2-2 after the first period. Mind you it is EA’s NHL 2005 video game begin played, but it looks great. I’d rather watch this! I must say ea had done a great job with the latest version, the players movements are very realistic, as are their images. Zed even has a intermission hosts, a brainiack and a guy in a plaid suit, Dean Winkman and Dougie LaLonde. Will the NHL fold already so the 8 money making teams can joing the new WHL and have only good talent playing for half the current number of teams. I wish I was a round to NHL hockey when every line had good players… Now we only get to see good hockey during world competitions.
Update: With a late empty netter from Todd Bertuzzi, Vancouver wins 6-4.
Update 2: Turns out that Zed is “airing” the Stanley Cup finals, and this was game 5 of 5 for the Cup! Great, yet another year the Leafs don’t win the Cup, and this will probably be their best chance in a long time.

I wish I knew about this at the beginning of the week.
