Back from the brink

On Thursday, in the middle of a major server upgrade a transformer blew in north-western Toronto. For most, the lights dimmed or flickered… just enough to reboot my server (I should really get a UPS…)
Turns out that the momentary lapse of electrons cause a filesystem corruption that prevented my /home and /tmp partiontions from mounting. Gone was all the pavlidis.org email… 2 days of recovery attempts finally was successful and my /home is safe. There are still a few issues to be resolved, particularly email. I have not been able to receive email for a week, so resend when I post that email has been restored.
