Changes occuring

The past year has been one heck of a roller coaster ride — I am due for some changes to get me out of what ever hole this is that I have fallen into. So what better time to make changes to Mark.Pavlidis.Org and the blog. The Plone experiment was not very successful. Plone is a very powerful CMS, but it turns out to require a little too much horsepower and RAM than my little server boxen can provide. The Google ads haven’t made that much :( The target uses of Plone also far exceeded what I will expect to need, so I’m back to the right tool for the job. In this case, it is upgrading WordPress from v1.2, to v1.5.2. Wow that was easy… Backup the database, install the files, run the update script. Done. Here she is in all it new found glory…..
I like some of the new feature of WordPress 1.5.x, so you will continue to see some changes in the near term as I get things set up how I like. In addition to a new look, look forward to new - more frequent - content.
