So I picked up a cheap USB WiFi adapter for the old iMac G3 so it does not need to sit next to the iBook attached via cross-over cable to get network access. It is a D-Link DWL-G122, a quick search showed that the Mac drivers are available from the chipset manufacturer. Get it home, plug it in, nada.

Turns out there are two hardware revisions, A - Prism based and not supported, B - Radlink based and supported. Not knowing this a priori, I buy H/W rev. A2… so I’m stuck with it. Anyone want to buy or barter it for a USB WiFi adapter that works with Mac OS X? It cost me $34.49.
