CBC Sports: Canada blanks Russia for junior gold

Great job boys, way to keep the gold at home! The 5-0 score misrepresents how close the and great the game was. Lots of action, big hits, loads of emotion. Looking at the calibre of hockey this year and last at the junior level, the international competitions will be more exhibitions of great hockey for some time to come.

Remember a few years back when the juniors lost bad, Canada lost the gold in Nagano and the nation was in an uproar about Canada’s faltering hockey “dominance”. Can’t win them all, so enjoy these while we’re winning, and work harder when we don’t.
