The Hart House Lecture 2006, on March 30th, is being delivered by Michael Geist. The title of his lecture is Our Own Creative Land: Cultural Monopoly and the Trouble With Copyright, discussing “the Bulte incident, highlighting the opportunities presented by the Internet, placing the current round of copyright reform in context, and sketching out an alternative, forward-looking vision of Canadian copyright law.” If you’re interested in going, let me know.
