CBC News - Senator fires back at U.S. family upset with seal hunt
This family from Minnesota is telling everyone they know to boycot visiting Canada because of the killing of animals.
The McLellan family had written to Canadian senators to say they cancelled a vacation in Canada because of the hunt, which they called “horrible” and “inhumane”.
To which one Senator replied:
Senator Céline Hervieux-Payette said that what she finds horrible is “the daily massacre of innocent people in Iraq, the execution of prisoners – mainly blacks – in American prisons, the massive sale of handguns to Americans, the destabilization of the entire world by the American government’s aggressive foreign policy, etc.”
Bravo Mme. Hervieux-Payette! It seems that the McLellan family is more concerned about the hunt of overpopulated (3% of 6 million) harp seals, than the lives and safety of people. And if the conflit with Iran continues everyliving thing on the Planet - the US has over 7000 of the 9000 nuclear warheads in the World.
So I call on Canadians to boycot visting the US, buying US goods, and investing in the US… That should run its national debt to over its current $9,000,000,000,000 (yes that is 9 trillion dollars), and trade deficit nearing $1Trillion annually.
Come on people, you should start caring about things that really matters, what is going on in the World - instead of whatever nonsense Oprah is talking about today.
