2006 FIBA World Championship - powered by www.fiba.com

The Greek basketball team was an upset winner of last years world basketball champs, but unlike their football playing cousins that could not even qualify for the world cup after winning the 2004 euro cup, this team is for real. After spanking france in the quarter-finals and taking the favourite usa in the semi, spain should not be a problem.

Update: I guess the Greek team put all they had in to beating the US, they didn’t have anything left for Spain… and go pummeled.
