CBC.ca | Dawson shooting victim launches national gun control campaign
“When those kinds of events happen, it’s supposed to make the government step back, and think about them. But in this case, our prime minister just said, ‘Now’s not the time to talk about those kinds of things,” Kadhim told CBC.
I wish Hayder Kadhim all the best with his recovery, and his challenge to the government. It’s not time to talk about gun control because it is not one of the 5 priorities. Oh wait, isn’t PRIORITY #3: Protecting Canadian families and communities by strengthening the justice system. Seriously, if not handguns what bigger threat to families and communities is there? And I speak from experience… 2 days ago, there were gun shots in the parking lot of an appartment less than 600m from my house.
So this should be updated to 4 priorites.
