CBC.ca - Tories shutting Status of Women offices
So our new government must think that women now have equal rights, so who needs offices for them to go to to get help. It must be the case that women earn dollar for dollar the same as men, there are less women living alone in poverty, all the single mothers have child-care spaces.
Seriously, they think 2 men, or 2 women should not have the same status as 1 man and 1 woman, yet 1 woman must now have the same status as 1 man since we don’t seem to fund or need the Status of Women offices.

What does everyone expect from a political party that shows complete disregard for women.Within their own party they have shown that they want their women to be demure and passive. How can anyone consider halting the funding for an organization that is fighting to bring forth equality between the genders. On average women make 29 cents per dollar less then their male counterparts. I have no respect for a government that make the kinds of decisions that tries to reverse all the strides made by the womens movement over the last 50 years.
